St. Louis: it's time for action on gun violence

stl-banner-3.jpg

In the last five years, more than 13,000 people have been murdered, shot or robbed at gunpoint in St. Louis. It's time for action: let's fight for a city where gun violence isn't the norm.

Through this campaign, you can make a donation that will go directly toward a gun buyback event in St. Louis, operated by SLPD. All guns collected will be destroyed.

Every $100 raised = 1 less gun in St. Louis

About this campaign

We have partnered with St. Louis Board of Alderman President Lewis Reed, Bruce Franks of 28 to Life, and SLMPD Chief Dotson to launch a crowdfunded gun buyback campaign in St. Louis, to remove guns from city streets and bring awareness to the gun violence crisis St. Louis faces. Here's how it works:

  • Every dollar you donate will go directly to removing a gun from St. Louis that could cause irreparable harm to any one of our families.
  • SLMPD operates the event to make sure it goes smoothly and safely.
  • Any individual can to turn in a working gun, no questions asked, and receive $100 in cash.
  • All of the guns collected are safely destroyed.

The buyback event is tentatively scheduled to be held late November 2015. Join the discussion online using #GunxGunSTL
