Caroline Toren

My husband is one of the kindest men I have met.
He’s a campaigner.
A campaigner of love.

Sometimes he stops me in the street.
Or when I’m eating my burger.
He looks at me and tells me how much his dad would have liked me.
I can’t help, but feeling so powerless.

My own dad loves to tell jokes.
He’s that silly dad you feel embarrassed by as a kid, but can’t get enough of as you get older.
My husband says our dads would have become good friends.

I don’t wish anyone to lose a dad to a gun.
I want to make a change.
And with my love-campaigning man I will.
He makes me believe in the future.
